It is with great sadness that the we have to report the death of one of the Club’s stars of yesteryear. Alf passed away after a long illness and our thoughts go out to his family and friends.
Alf’s sporting career included representing Great Britain at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics 100m, winning a bronze medal at the 1962 European Athletics Championships as part of the 4 x 100m relay team and playing Rugby league for Leeds RLFC now Leeds Rhinos.
